Noah's Party

Saturday was a very exciting day! Noah had his first big boy party with his friends. The weather held out and the kids had a blast!! We had a dinosaur theme based on birthday boy's request and of course mom went all out. We turned the garage into a jungle with trees and all. Dinosaurs all over. We had the big water slide up and the pool going with inflatable dinosaurs. Below are some pics from the festivities....Noah was still talking about it all day today!

Present opening with friends...
Dinosaur Egg hunt in the backyard...huge hit and Noah loves the baby dinos hatching :o)

Noah's friend Danny got him his first big boy legos and we had hours of fun building things today!

Melanie got him a build-a-bear gift certificate which he really loved picking out new outfits. One for each of his animals...note..it's called build a bear and my son builds turtles & dinos...go figure!

Can you tell he loves dinos???

Such a fun weekend...I hate to see it end, but we get to do it all over again in 2 weeks with the family!! Can't wait!

Cayden's Baptism

We just got home from our Cayden's Baptism. What a good boy! Hardly a peep out of him the entire hour + that we were in church this morning. He even managed to basically stay asleep through the pouring of the water on his head (little flinching). Below are some pics from church and of the cousins playing at the after party. Enjoy!

Kylie Graduates

We just got back from Kylie's EOY program and graduation. It was so cute and they did a great job...yes I have the video for those that are interested when we are back in NY this weekend. Afterwards we went back to Kylie's room for some refreshments and a slideshow of pictures from throughout the year. I can't believe we have a first grader on our hands!!!

Newest Additions at Fernet House

As most of you know our hanging baskets in the front are favorite places for the birds to build their homes. I swear they wait each year for me to hang them out and within a couple days to a week there is usually at least 1 nest. This year the robins have 2 nests under the deck instead but these little ones decided to stick with the hanging baskets. Below are the proud Mom & Dad (sorry for the bluriness):
and here are the new babies....Noah says "Mommy aren't they so cute?" The kids have been watching them a few times a week when I take them down to water the flowers so they saw the eggs and have been patiently waiting for them to hatch. That's all for tonight...stay tuned!!

Noah's End of the Year Program

For those of you that have been anxiously waiting this post...here it is. Noah and his class did a great job with their program today. They sang many songs and were each awarded a certificate at the end with a superlative about themselves. Noah was Mr. Clever....depending on the day that can be a good clever or bad clever :o) It was really cute. Enjoy the pics below and be sure to check out the videos to the right when they are posted. **Little Tip** Prior to opening the videos go down to the bottom of the pages where the songs are and click on the double vertical bar button to pause the music...this will allow you to hear the video better. Enjoy!!

Weekend Update

Alrighty...so here is how the weekend went. I thought I was on top of everything this year and ahead of schedule. For the most part that was true. Started getting Kylie ready in plenty of time for the recital with hair done before dinner and the little diva was sitting watching her shows while waiting for dinner to be served....
She finished dinner, we did makeup and finished packing...ready to go with a couple minutes to spare...AMAZING!! Couple quick pics and we are out the door...

While handing out programs I get the call which changes the smooth going of the night...it's Jason asking if our friend Marcie is there (Marcie is an ER nurse...so you know that isn't good). Noah took a little spill and split his forehead open...so we needed a quick consult to see if stitches were needed. Many thanks to Marcie if you are reading this!!! She called ahead to "reserve" a room for us...and Jay brought him to the ER to get looked at...missing 90% of the recital :( Luckily...Noah is fine...they glued him up and he was good to go....the sadest part is he is 3 and this is already trip #2 for him (they had him on file and pulled him right up...hhaha). Below is the picture from tonight where you can see he is doing much better. Much love to my husband who lovingly handles all this without a complaint even though I know it broke his heart to miss her dancing.

Kylie did a great job and is anxious to share the DVD with anyone that wasn't able to attend when we get it at the end of the summer. She is very happy and appreciative to everyone that was able to come and knows everyone else was thinking of her and wishing her good luck. She was especially excited that her big cousin was able to attend though!!

At this point we are all exhausted. I can't believe we have to wait another full year to do it again...so sad. She has really improved over the years and loves to dance. She has been putting on her own little shows at home every chance she gets...loves to entertain. Time to sign off for tonight. Love to all!!

Dress Rehearsal

Ok...for those of you coming to the recital on Saturday..you are in for a real treat. The girls had their dress rehearsal tonight and what a change from last year. They still have their little blunders here and there, but the improvement and growth are amazing. Kylie & Maya did great on their duo...yes I cried so be prepared! I think with intermission the show will be around 2.5 hrs (we were done in 2 hrs tonight...but there were still a few dances to go). Kylie is very excited to show you all her hard work. I hope you are all as excited as we are. That's it for tonight...Love to All!
