Today

Back to back postings..can you believe it? Haha. So unfortunately today did not have a fun start...or should I say the carryover from last night was not fun. Jason picked up the kids to take them to swim lessons last night which were destined not to happen. For starters, Noah has been a monster all week at school, misbehaving and not listening to teachers which landed him in the principals office multiple times (yes I know...I'm in for it)...so with that...Noah was not allowed to swim...so they were really only going for Kylie's class. Soon as they got there Kylie refused to eat her dinner...said her throat hurt...curled up into a little ball in her car seat...so when Jay called I said just skip it and go home (of course I was late leaving work so wasn't there to help). They got about 2 roads away and Kylie decided to let Jay know that he was going to be cleaning his car all night....He was not thrilled. Got home and had 101 temp...cleaned her up and she went to bed (Jay spent a couple hours cleaning out the car). This morning...102 fever..so off to the dr and of course she has strep...again. So little missy was home with me all day. All the running this morning was in the pouring rain which added to the fun and oh yeah...she got sick in the elevator coming out of the doctors...haha. Good thing I was prepared with a baggie. She seems to be doing a little better tonight, but still down in the dumps. By tomorrow AM she won't be contagious and is typically her normal self again. Always something.

On to the funny part of our day. We picked Noah up from school where they have been having "Pirate/Treasure" Week. He comes out with a pirate hat and eye patch on that he is so proud that he made. Jason says...tell mommy what the pirates say....Noah's response:

"Arggg, Ladies"

Obviously he means "Arggg, Mateys", but I laughed so hard...I had to get a picture of him with it. Hope this brings a smile! Good night!

Our trip to the NJ

Alright...I know I'm wayyyyyyyy behind in the blogging. Sorry! Things have been so non stop lately that I just haven't had the energy. So enough excuses..onto our mini vacation.

Our annual trip to Dawn & Dave's house was a blast as usual. We got there late Thursday after many, many long stops on the way (painful). Straight to bed and up bright & early in the morning. First stop...Six Flags!! The kids had a lot of fun running from 1 ride to the next. As you can see below the kids were driving daddy around town (at least around Wiggles World).
The kids got to see a bunch of different looney tunes & super heros...the scary part is knowing that we are getting older because the kids don't know looney tunes...HAHA. Either way they are thrilled to meet any real walking cartoon characters :o)
Little princess conned Daddy into getting her a face painting while her brother crashed from the long day. Of course she picks one of the most expensive ones :o)

We were there through the parade at the end of the night which Noah was in love with. Robin and a few other characters came right over to him and gave him a high five. All the floats lite up almost a much as his eyes. His favorite was probably the dragon which he saw on a picture when we were walking into the park and was determined to see in the parade.
Saturday we went to the Philadelphia zoo which was really nice. The weather was a bit on the hot side, but there were a lot of shady places to escape. The kids got to see a lot of animals, but I think they got a real kick out of riding the camel.
On Sunday, while the guys were off golfing in the brutal sun the rest of us went to Potters Alley where the kids got to pick out an unpainted ceramic and decorate it the way they wanted. The little artists had a lot of fun and Aunt Dawn will pick up the fired pieces next week. Can't wait!

Ok so that is a quick recap from this weekend. There are a lot more stories & memories, but it's getting late so I'm going to say good night for now. Stay tuned for more updates soon!

Noah's Family Party

Here are some pics from this weekends party. Noah was so excited to have everyone out at the house so thank you to all that were able to make it. The weather was perfect which is amazing considering how this summer has gone. He made us break into every single present Sunday night and he bounced from one to the next until it was bedtime.

Decorations in the garage
Pool on the water slide invaded by dinos
Results of the dino egg hunt...the kids loved this!

Noah's 4th Birthday

It's birthday boys big day!! Lovely wakeup call before 6am :) He had a birthday cake pancake...yum yum:

When Kylie got up she gave Noah the present she bought him...more big boy legos which we needed to immediately break into..

Daddy finally got up so we went upstairs to give Noah his present from us. Now he has his own fishtank like his big sister. He is very excited, but wants to know where his fish are...haha. He wasn't too happy to hear we have to wait until tonight to get them :)

Now Daddy and Noah are building the lego dragon and castle. This afternoon we plan to go to Ice Age:Dawn of the Dinosaurs for Noah's first trip to the movie theaters and catch some birthday dinner. Of course we'll stop and pickup Noah's fish on the way home too. Should be a fun day!
