Justin's Party & the weekend

Ok...so I forgot to bring the camera back to NY so no pics to share again, but it was a lot of fun. Saturday AM Noah had soccer which Kelly helped bail me out ...watching him while I brought Kylie to CCD. Once both were done it was off to NY. Stopped in at JoAnne's to pickup Daddy after golf and headed over to the park. The kids had a great time! It was our first taste of the chilly weather fall has in store, but it was great to see everyone.

Sunday we headed over to Bounce Around and hung out with my mom, Matt, Ashley & Cayden. I cannot believe how big he is getting and he's such a good baby. I think he fussed once the whole time we were out. We got some lunch and then back to JoAnne's so everyone could gear up for the Giants game. Of course they won which everyone was happy about :o)

Grabbed a little dinner and then headed for home. Noah was asleep in the car by 6pm and had to be woke up around 6:30 this morning. All in all it was a great weekend, just wish they could be a little longer. Till next update....

Last weekend

Yep...behind again in the posts...hahaha. When are they going to extend the number of hours in a day?? Anyway we had a great weekend last weekend. Noah had soccer Saturday and did great. He is definitely going to be the jock Daddy was hoping for. After that we headed to his friend Danny's birthday party. The kids had a blast running and playing in the backyard in the good weather. When we got home Grampa was there visiting with Daddy & Kylie. We played and talked then headed for a nice dinner at Chili's. After that it was home for me and the kids while the boys headed to Mohegan. Jason had on of his best nights in awhile...not quite to Dave's level of winnings...but still good.

Next morning Noah and I got up and made cinnamon rolls for everyone. When the rest of the house got up around 9 we ate and played for a bit. Grampa headed home and Kylie & I headed to her friend Kelly's party at the bowling alley. Kylie did pretty good (thank goodness for bumpers). She refused to use the helper ramp things so some of the shots were like a pinball machine..back and forth between bumpers...haha. All the kids had a lot of fun. Did some grocery shopping and then home to finish homework and get ready for the week.

Today is the busiest day of the week....leave to get to work for before 7, leave work by 3:15 to go pickup the kids and get Kylie to dance by 4:15...then off to swim with Noah for 5 - 5:30 and back to get Kylie for 6:30....home to eat something...study spelling & read then off to bed.

Dropping Jason off in Lee tomorrow so he can help Joe with the ramp at his house and the kids and I will head back after soccer/CCD on Saturday. Can't wait for Justin's party!! We are also planning to go picking Sunday morning...probably around 10 at Bowmans for anyone that is interested. Usually do strawberries & apples then visit the animals & store at the end. That's it for now!

Wearing his food well

Okay...so my mom finally sent me some new pics of Cayden that I had to share. I haven't seen him in so long...sometimes I really don't like how far away we are. Anyway, when I saw the picture below I couldn't stop laughing. Apparently when Ashley was feeding him and opened a new jar of food it kind of exploded and Cayden just looked at her....hahahahahaha. Priceless!!
Here's the little big man all cleaned up with his flirt face on....
Ahh...couple more weeks and we'll be back for a visit...thank goodness!!

Noah's start to Soccer

Yesterday morning we were all up and getting ready relatively early to get to Noah's first day of soccer. They started at 10am. He's on the green team and acts like he has been playing for years. He was soooo ready! He shook Coach Peter's hand and told him in a loud speaking voice his name was Noah. Once they all got there his coach had then learning drills (toe taps, rocking, kicking into the goal, etc. Below is Noah leading the pack in dribbling down the field to shoot a goal:
More running with the ball down the field...
Then we had a classic moment. They were supposed to be chasing the coach with their balls and Noah was dragging behind. When Coach Peter asked him why he wasn't running he says that he's thirsty...so coach asks if anyone else is thirsty...of course they all say yes and Noah rallied a water break for the team...we couldn't stop laughing. There was no shyness from our little superstar:
With 15 mins left they split the teams up to have mini games. One field had the kids that had played before (in the spring) and the other were the fall newbies. When coach asked Noah if he played before he said yes (because he plays a the house) so he go put with the more experienced ones. He held his own and actually scored a goal.
He was tired by the end, but smiling from ear to ear. He is definitely going to be the sports jock Daddy was hoping for...hahaha.
On the Kylie front...no soccer this session because it's at the same time as CCD class which starts in 2 wks. She finished her first week of dance and is LOVING it. She is especially excited about hip hop. They have a new teacher this year and all the girls really seem to like her. Kylie's classes appear to be a little smaller this year which is always good because that means more individual attention. Her acro class only had 4 girls though...Kylie commented that she wasn't sure how they would do a dance for recital with only 4 girls...HAHA.
Guess that's about it from here...Everyone is all geared up in the Giants jerseys waiting for the game to start. Noah was yelling all morning "Go Giants!!!"

Busy, Busy, Busy

Ok...so it's been a long time since the last post..sorry about that. With school starting back up and trying to get things done around the house I've kind of lost track of time (what else is new). So here's the long, short version of whats going on:

Kylie - First grade is going well...although no homework yet. So I remedied that situation and made up my own homework packets for this past weekend. I know how mean that sounds, but they actually love it. Kylie worked on her spelling words and some math, plus we read a few books. She had her friend Kelly come over for a couple hours on Monday to play. She starts dance tomorrow...tap semi-private on Wed, ballet, tap, jazz & acro on Thurs & hip hop on Friday. Unfortunately Miss Linda wasn't able to put the duo & hip hop on the same day so we will be at the studio more this year...haha.

Noah - He is loving being in the frog room (4 yr old preschool room) and insists on telling anyone that will listen (like the dr & nurses tonight) then I have to explain what he means. His swim lessons started up this past Thursday with Miss Kim and he did a great job...he was actually pretty quick in the water compared to the others in his class. Now if he just had a little more bouyancy to be able to float when doing his "starfish" he'd be all set (can't seem to get his lower 1/2 on top of the water...haha. His soccer coach called this weekend and said he is all set to start this Saturday at 10am. We went for his 6 month ENT followup (amazingly we made it the full 6 months without a visit) and he got a clean bill of health. He also had him go for allergy testing to confirm if he had seasonal allergies in addition to anything else. Now for those of you that have been to our house you know we live in the woods (Oak trees make up 90%)...so what is he allergic to...you guessed it...Oak. Besides that he's mildly allergic to dust...more so allergic to dust mites so we have to make some changes to his room which should minimize him waking up congested a lot of mornings. Finally...he is very allergic to cats...haha. Explains everyone's sneezing fits when we go to Gramma & Grampa's....haha. But at least now that we know for sure we can take necessary steps to minimize the discomfort. Kylie is going to get tested next month...assume it will basically be the same as his.

Us - Not too much new. Jason was able to fix the dishwasher and saved us a ton of money not having to buy a new one. Now its so quiet (for those of you that heard the monstrosity...you know what I mean). We did a bunch of "fall" cleaning this weekend (tearing apart the oven, fridge, other appliances, etc) and I have Thurs/Fri off this week to continue without 2 little tornados behind me. We also just joined facebook this past week and let me tell you...it's more fun than I was expecting to be honest. We've caught up with a few friends that we haven't seen in a really long time and the games are quite addicting. Jason & I get pretty competitive...He's killing me in Mafia Wars, but I'm way ahead in Farmville & Top Restaurant.

I think that's about it. The kids are busy. I think we have 5 kid birthday parties within the next month (2 of Kylie's friends, 1 of Noah's friends, Justin's & Gaby's). It's chaotic, but I love it!

Alrighty, Jason's at bball, kids are asleep so it's time for me to enjoy the piece and quiet. Good Night!!
