Jason's Vacation

Few shots from Jason's golf outing in Maryland earlier this month. Poor guy looks like he was missing us terribly....hahaha. Glad he had a good time, but dreading the fact that he will want to make this an annual thing :o) Enjoy!

Congratulations Scott!

Wanted to take a minute to send an early congratulations out to Scott. Tomorrow he's graduating from UNH with his Bachelor's in History and minor in Political Science. We know he had to work so hard over the last 4 years to earn that. In the meantime he managed to squeeze in a little football :) which helped him decide to relocate across the country in a few days.

Scott - We wish you and Dana the absolute best as you embark on your journey in Dallas. Keep us posted on how life in Texas is going and the wedding plans. Also, please make sure to send us some pics of graduation and Dallas when you get settled. We'll miss you. Love ya!

Mastering Riding Bikes

Anyone that has been to our house knows how little the area in the front yard is for the kids to ride their bikes. For this reason they've had their training wheels on each year. Since Kylie just had her birthday we decided she was getting too old to not know how to ride unassisted so I pulled the off both bikes. We spent one day a few weekends ago having them ride around in a circle on the grass so it wouldn't hurt too much when they fell. They did pretty good. With being away on weekends and getting home late during the week there haven't been a lot of other opportunities for them to try. Today we did it again and I can't believe it...they both have it!!! So proud of my little monkeys!! Here is one of the video clips I took..unfortunately you miss the 5 or 6 circles Kylie did before Noah ran her off with his evil little laugh...he doesn't quite have as much control has her, but he doesn't exactly feel sorry about it...hahaha...Enjoy!!

Creepy Crawly....Springtime in Nature

Today was one of the best days I've had with the kids in so long....even though Daddy is out galavanting (golfing) with the boys all weekend. We grabbed some quick lunch and then went over to Hidden Valley for a little golfing of our own...mini golf of course. The kids had a lot of fun and ended up tying in the end which is always nice :o) Everyone got at least 1 hole in one also...which is more than I can say for Jason (at least it's highly doubtful). After lunch we stopped at Friendly's for ice cream cones where we could have nicknamed Noah "Drippy" hahaha. Back home I did some weeding while the kids played. Then Noah was off on a mission to see how many caterpillars he could find. Creepy crawly....eeewwwwhhhh!!! He's such a boy! Kylie can almost pick them up without freaking out, but the poor caterpillar needs to be ready to be airborn in less than 2 seconds....

Then they went to play down in their swingset where I had to climb up to see if there were any families in the bird's nest that moved in. Sure enough we have babies..check out below:
I'm sure the robins are anxiously waiting for my flower baskets to go up in the front of the house so they can move it. Can be a bit of an inconvenience at times, but it's such a great hands on lesson for the kids. Now settling in for a little movie night before bed. Good Night!

This weekend

We had a nice weekend back in NY with family. My baby brother is all grown up...haha. We got to to see their new house which is beautiful. It's so quiet out there!! Cayden's party was a lot of fun. The little monkey is getting so big. He wasn't a big fan of smashing into is cake, but as soon as mommy got him a spoon he went to town...blue frosting all over the place!! Unfortunately I left my camera at home so I don't have any pics to share unless someone passes them along.

Back to Joanne's to see more family and more babies!! Joey is a little snugglebug and miss Makenna is getting soooo big!! Times like this weekend make me wish we lived a little closer because I feel like we miss how quickly our nieces and nephews change :o(

Nice lunch with mom today before heading home. Had plans to do so much more before leaving, but wasn't feeling so great so we called it a day earlier. Can't wait to see everyone again soon!!

Happy Mother's Day to All!!

End of last week & this weekend

It's been non-stop chaos and fun over the last week. We had the most amazing time in Vegas. I hope to put more pics up on the site at some point so stay tuned with that.

For those of you who don't know my cousin decided to sign as a free agent with the Dallas Cowboys. He was out there for a mini camp this weekend and from what I heard enjoyed it. In addition he proposed to his girlfriend Dana so they will be getting married at some point down the road. So excited for both of them!!! Congrats Scott!!

As for the kids....Kylie found out this week that there was a mistake in the achievement they were awarded. They were told they had a Gold achievement, but after getting the score sheet back her teacher found out they really had an Extreme Gold Achievement...WOOHOO!!!

On Saturday I had to go really early to get the tickets for recital...ended up with rows J & K this year...not bad, but not as good as I was hoping. We took the kids training wheels off and they practiced in the front yard. Unfortunately, those of you that have been to our house know there isn't much grass/room for them to ride, but Kylie almost has it mastered and Noah isn't too far behind. They should be ready enough for pavement shortly.

Also decided to have a camp out in the front yard last night to see how the kids would take to camping. They LOVED it. Jason had worked really hard all day in the yard so he wasn't up for sleeping on an air mattress so it was just the 3 of us. Soccer was good today. Kylie wasn't feeling 100% and the heat/humidity was bad so she sat out and Noah played for her. For a 4 year old he can more than hold his own with the 7 yr olds. Stole the ball and was leading the pack a few times on the charge for a goal. Way to go buddy!!

Now its time to attempt to recoup a little and get ready for the craziness of this next week. Good Night all!
