Great Weekend!

This weekend was so great.  I don't get a lot of time to do things for myself and this weekend was one of those rare occasions.  Saturday night I had my "annual" Pampered Chef show.  Everyone has been so busy lately, but it was so great to have some of my best girls come visit!!  We had an awesome pasta dish and a crazy chocolate dessert...yum yum!!    Closing out the show Tuesday night for any of you ladies that still wanted to place orders.

After the ladies left it was on to decorating my little man's birthday cake.  It took quite awhile, but it came out pretty cool if I do say so myself (rather full of myself lately...aren't I...hahah)  here is a pic:

Anyway...everyone arrived late morning.  There were kids everywhere you looked and babies galore.  I love it!!  Jason broke out the big water slide for the kids because it was so hot and humid all day.  Here are some shots of the fun:

Had some lunch followed by cake and make your own sundaes, presents and then it was pinata time.  All the kids took great whacks at the pinata, but in the end it was our little slugger that slayed the dragon:

Having family and friends over make the days so amazing.  If only we could have weekends like this all the time.  Much love and thanks to all these important people in our lives that make these days so special..and to all those that weren't able to make it, but had us in their thoughts :o)

Noah's Birthday Party with Friends

Today was a lot of fun!  Yesterday I finished putting together the goody bags and they came out so cute if I do say so myself :o)

Noah had karate this morning with all the other belts which he loves because he gets to see the black belts.  As soon as we were done it was off to the movie theater to meet the boys!  He had 4 of his friends come to watch Toy Story 3 - 3D with him.  They were all so well behaved and the movie was great.  After the movie we went across the plaza to get some McFlurry's from McDonald's.  Here are the boys with their 3D glasses on waiting patiently for the ice cream!!

What a great start to a big boys almost 5th birthday!!!

Blue Gup White Belt

Noah did a great job on his belt test tonight in karate.  He did all the kicks, form 1, and star block set correctly when asked.  They did a little sparring and then was the belt presentation.  2 of his classmates went up to orange gup white belt and Noah moved up to blue gup white belt :)  He was very excited and made us change the belt as soon as we got out to the car.  Below is his presentation:

Saturday

Yesterday was absolutely phenomenal, but a little long :o) We got up and out to Noah's first Karate Tournament by about 9am. We had to wait awhile (2+ hrs) for it to be his turn to do his forms, but man it was worth the wait. He did his form 2 the best he ever had. Below is an action shot from his form:
Once all the Under 6 yr olds boys finished their Kata the announced the scores which he received a 7.5, 7.6 & 7.8....then they brought the competitors to the front to get their awards and while he was by far the youngest in his age group at 4 he won 1st PLACE!!!!!!!!!!!!! I've never been so proud of my little man (yes I was on the verge of happy tears). Below is a shot with some of his karate friends with all their forms trophies:
We waited around again for quite awhile for Noah's division to be called for sparring. He is not a fighter at this point...haha. He tried really hard, but has a little disadvantage being so short compared to his competition. They just bopped him on the top of the head and get the point. He hasn't learned to keep his high block high :o) Below is a shot of him with his 1st & 4th place trophy and his teacher:
After the awesome morning we came home to find Gramma and Aunt Mar waiting for us. The kids were sooo excited. Shortly after Nana & Pip Sicko and Aunt Shirley arrived so the whole gang was there. We visited for awhile, ate some food and got ready for the big girls 5th recital. I cannot believe how quickly time goes by!! The night was just as amazing as the morning. Kylie did such an awesome job. We are soooooo proud of how hard she has worked this year to get ready for recital. She had 6 dances and looked great in all of them. When we got home we took her hair out and relaxed before going to bed. Few aftershots of the dancing princess:

Many, many thanks to all the family and friends that shared in our kids special days this weekend. We really appreciate all the love and support!!!

Noah's EOY Program

Noah did a great job in his program this morning. He's been working so hard over the last few weeks that he was picked by his teachers to be the one to carry the flag in. All the kids said their pledge of allegiance and moved onto their various other songs:
Noah was nominated by his teachers as the "Adventurous Frog" and received his diploma for completing the Frog room preschool program.
Nana & Aunt Dawn were able to attend...hooray!!
Mommy and Daddy all proud of their little man:
Noah with his favorite teachers :o)
That's it so far....stay tuned for the results of the remaining weekend festivities.

Almost the Weekend!!

I'm so excited for today to be over. My mom & sister are coming out tonight to start the weekend festivities...woohoo!!!!!!!!!!!! Noah is soooo ready for his "Mom & Dad Show" as he calls it. His teachers keep telling me how absolutely cute he is when they practice every day. They said that he is so focused and well behaved...and I keep thinking...are they talking about my son??? They have this incentive that they gave the kids about whoever does the best job practicing and singing each day will get to be the leader that carries the flag into the room. Oh yeah.....I have a feeling its him which he is so excited about :o) So that's tomorrow at 11am if anyone has any last min openings in their plans and wants to join.

Then Saturday is the big day. Noah has to be to his tournament around 8am to check in, stretch out, gear up and then wait for his turn. They have the demo team going first at 8:30 so he'll be going on at some point after that...maybe 9ish? May find out more tonight at class. Everyone is obviously welcome so those coming out to recital especially if you want to come out early to catch the tournament we'd love to have you. I will be trying to tape it and take pics to show later. We'll go home after to relax and get ready for the nightly festivities. Dress rehearsal went really well for our girls so the big night should be great. Although I have to say I feel soooo bad for them. They have to change sooooo fast...they were tired by the end of the night! Anyway, back to finishing this day so we can move onto the fun. I'll keep you posted and post pics as soon as I can.

Can't wait to see all the family & friends that are able to make it this weekend!!!
