Congrats to the English's

Congratulations to Paul & Laura on celebrating Anthony's Christening today!

Visit with Cynthia & Eric

Had a nice afternoon visiting with our friends Cynthia & Eric.  It's been way too long since we got together.  Headed over for lunch (which was delicious) and the kids had a blast.  Noah jumped out of the car as soon as we got there and ran for the big slide they have coming off their deck.  When asked if we could at least say hi first he said "Umm...nah"..haha.  After hanging out for awhile we headed to the next town over for a nice bike ride.  Kylie was AMAZING!  This is only the second real "ride" we've gone on and she is like the energizer bunny.  Here is a shot of her leading the way for herself, Eric, Cynthia and me trailing behind:

Jason & Noah were a ways behind us.  We went out a little over 2.5 miles and watched some cliff jumpers before turning back.  On the way back we caught up to Jason & Noah who were on their way back.  Noah was having a really hard time peddling his little bike 3x more than the rest of us.  Jason, Cynthia, Eric and Kylie continued the ride back while I stayed with Noah.  The poor little guy had crocodile tears that he couldn't do it anymore.  It's amazing what you find the strength to do as a mom whether you want to or not.  So...on my bike I carried his little bike across my handle bars and him on my back.  Yeah nuts ...I know....longest 3/4 of a mile EVER!!  Little tired/crabby kids on the way home who are now washed up and sleeping peacefully in their bed :o)  Overall a great day!!  Thanks so much for having us guys..we'll have to do it again soon!!

Busy week

Well it's been a dr filled week for Noah.  Started out with blood in the ear Saturday PM & Sunday AM.  Trip to pediatrican on Sunday revealed it was an infection.  Went to ENT Monday and they cleaned it out so that we could use the antibiotic drops.  Back to pediatrician on Tuesday for his Kindergarten physical.  All was good.  He has grown 2 inches and gained 3lbs over the last year.  50% for height & weight :o)  Hoping to finish out the week on a more quiet note.  Off to see some friends on Saturday we haven't seen in awhile and then Melanie's 5th birthday on Sunday.  Hoping we get the chance to tell the kids about our big trip for October this weekend, because the surprise is killing me this time.  Nighty night all!

Visit to NJ

Well behind in posts as usual, but we had a great visit with Aunt Dawn & Uncle Dave last weekend.  Thursday we hit 6 flags for the day and as usual the kids hoped from one ride to the next.  Toward the end of the day it was time to ride Noah's much anticipated raft ride.  I was about to sit next to him when at the last min he decided Daddy should...Thank Goodness!!!  That was the wettest seat in the ride.  Check out the pic:

Friday was a nice day by the pool while Daddy & Uncle Dave golfed and then we went to see Despicable Me at the movie theater that night because it was a little too hot to walk the Princeton campus like we originally planned.  Few shots of the bathing beauties:

Saturday it was off to the Philadelphia Zoo.  The kids had fun collecting "Lego" cards.  The zoo had someone come in and build all these animals out of legos and then they handed out trading cards for each with facts about the animals.  It was cute.  Here are a few pics:

One of the other cool things we did this time that we didn't get a chance to last year was feed the Lorikeets.  Uncle Dave took some pics while Aun Dawn, Daddy, Noah & I fed them (Kylie didn't want to).  Here are a few shots:

Jason and I had a nice night out and got some new bikes so we can start doing some family bike rides while the kids had a fun night with their aunt & uncle.

Sunday we went for a nice bike ride on a local path and then headed back to the pool before the long trip home.  Why is it that all the fun times go by soooo fast?  One last cutie pic from inside a tree on the trip...stay tuned for more adventures:

Noah's Birthday (Again) & 4th of July Weekend

So we celebrated the big boy turning 5 for the last time this past weekend.  We went to Chili's for dinner and at the end he was very insistent that he should get some ice cream and be sung to.  "Pleaseeee...I'm the birthday boy".  So of course the waitress was happy to oblige.  One scoop of vanilla ice cream or "frosting" as Noah likes to call it....and she rounded up every waiter/waitress in the place to sing.  Shy boy tucked his head with a big grin and they were all commenting how cute he was.  Then the bartender comes over with a wine glass full of "champagne" for him (ginger ale).  As you can see in the pics he was loving it:
Saturday he had karate on his birthday which Master D let him choose whatever he wanted to do in class.  Played on the water slide when we got home and had some yummy dinner that night with Nana :o).  Mom and I had to sneak out to see Eclipse...which was great!  Sunday more water slide and then off to see OVO (Cirque du Soleil)  It was awesome!  I think KA that we saw in Vegas might have been a little better, but mainly because of the different stage options that were available to them.  Grabbed some dinner on the way to fireworks in Waterbury and then home to sleep.  Monday was a nice day off from work.  Kylie went to play at a friends house while Noah conned me into going on the water slide with him.  Lots of fun!  He had karate that night and ended up with a private lesson as no one else in his class showed up.  He thought it was pretty funny when Master D had me join Noah in class at the end for nun-chuck drills.  The couple parents that showed up for the next class thought it was pretty funny too....hahaha.  Oh well....back to reality!!
