It was an exciting game, but the kids seemed extra worn out due to the humidity.  Can't wait for next week :)

Football & Soccer

No pictures to post for now because we are off to a party, but wanted to update those that anxiously await the results.  Noah won his football game 30 - 6.  He played quite a bit and luckily the rain held off other than a slight misting at the beginning of the game.  We went straight from there to soccer when both kids played as Kylie's team was short players.  They both did great and Kylie scored a goal!  Their team won 2 - 1.  Overall great morning.  Gotta run  ... stay tuned for more soon!

The Week in Review

Busy week as all the activities started back up.  Monday - Football practice, Tuesday - Karate, Gymnastics & Open House at school, Wednesday - Dance, Thursday - Dance & FB practice, Friday - FB practice & sleepover party then games today.  Are you tired yet? Hahaha.  It was fun though.  So for football today, the kids had pictures with their new uniforms at 8, weigh ins at 9 and game at 10.  The boys won again 32 - 18 (and yes the score is right...our defense scored a safety :o) ).  Noah had fun and got to play the line for offense & defense matched up to someone that was almost twice his size.  He did get pushed back and you'll understand why from the pic below, but he did his job and kept the guy occupied long enough:

After the boys won, we were off to opening day for soccer.  Kylie did great!  She had a little injury with her knee so she sat for a little, but got the courage to go back in.  Didn't get too many good pics today, but here is one action shot of her running down the field after the ball.  Will try for more next week.

Saturday

Another fun day today started really early.  Off to the away football game.  Noah played really well when he was brought into the game and the team won again!!  As you can tell from my last post I'm not used to football lingo yet.  Last week the score was 5 touchdowns to 4 ...better known as 30 - 24 (they don't kick for extra points).  This week they won 30 - 6.  Couple pics:

Unfortunately, we found out last night that due to the increased security threat the soccer field was closed so Kylie didn't get to have opening day of soccer.  So we went directly from the football game to the work picnic for Jason.  Everyone had a great time playing anything & everything..the lobster was yummy too! 

 *Kylie was off with her new found friend for most of the picnic avoiding pictures :)  Now we are home and relaxing before bed.  Good Night!

First Football Game

Well...first game down and they WON!!  5 to 4 :)  Being Noah's first year we weren't/aren't expecting him to get much more playing time then the mandatory 10-12 plays per game, but today he was in quite a bit on both offense & defense.  He played on the line in all cases and did a good job all day.  He is getting pretty good at breaking through on the defense, but has a hard time figuring out where the ball is once he's through.  9 times out of ten he runs the opposite direction of the ball...hahaha.  My favorite part of the day was him running off the field at the end of the play and saying "Mom did you see that...I touched the runner" - translation...he alllllmost made a tackle.  He was sooooo excited!!  Here are a few pics at the house before we left.  Enjoy!
