Catch Up

I know...I know...I am weeks behind.  Such appears to be the theme of life lately :o)  The last few weeks have been so busy as the kids schedules go into full swing, but they are really enjoying everything and excelling!  First, school has been great for them both.  Kylie has been doing great on her spelling tests and the reading is improving leaps & bounds.  Noah is doing amazing too.  He's already received his "orange fish" for being able to count to 100 and he received a certificate for joining the "Clifford Club" which means he is able to identify at least 50 out of 52 letters.

Onto activities....Kylie has gymnastics on Tuesdays, dance on Wed/Thursday, and CCD & Soccer on Saturday.  She is loving dance this year (as usual) and is going to try for her first solo!  In gymnastics she came home tonight with the awesome news that they are promoting her to the level 3 class because she is "too good" for the class she is currently in and they think she will get much more out of the advanced class - Go Girl!  CCD just started last week and boy are we in for a busy year.  She will be receiving 2 sacraments this year...1st Reconciliation & 1st Communion which means a lot of things to learn and participate in throughout the year.  As for soccer she is doing great here too.  Her and Noah are kind of sharing this role.  Noah wasn't able to play on his own team this year because his age group is at the same time as CCD....so on Saturday's he practices with the U8 group and when the game starts he sits unless they need a sub.  He also fills in for her on Wed nights at practice since she is at dance...must be nice to have a "pinch hitter" huh?

Alrighty...so onto the little man.  Already mentioned his role in soccer.  He also has karate Mon/Tues/Thursday which he is still loving (most days).  He was so excited tonight because his teacher taught them the beginning of a new form.  He has been doing the same 2 forms for this whole year so I think he loved the new challenge.  He also has CCD class Saturdays and the first one went off without a hitch (thank goodness).  I took them both to church on Sunday which was the first time I've ventured that since last Xmas eve and I have to say they were awesome!!  Here's hoping that lasts :o)

Beyond that we been busy with work, parties, things around the house, and preparing for our vacation.  Yep we are off to Disney in 16 days!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  It can't come soon enough...I so need a break!!  Oh we also have the halloween costumes squared away - Noah is going to be Toothless (the main dragon from the movie How to Train Your Dragon) and Kylie is going to be Dorothy from the Wiz.  I'll have to post the now and then pics because she was Dorothy at 18 months too ;o)  Alrighty...that's about all I have for tonight.  Sorry there are not pictures to share.  Hope to have some new ones soon!!  Good night!
